Choosing a health fund (kupat cholim)

All four Israeli health funds provide the same national basket of services. The real differences are supplementary plans, clinic density near you, and how easy it is to be seen in English. Ask three questions: which fund has a clinic within walking distance, which has English-speaking family doctors accepting new patients, and what the supplementary plan adds for your family stage. You can switch funds a limited number of times per year, so the decision is not permanent.
