Tel Aviv is expensive by any measure, and housing is the driver. A renovated two bedroom in the Old North will cost multiples of the same apartment in Netanya or Beit Shemesh.
Food, transport and healthcare are comparatively reasonable. Childcare, cars and eating out are not. Budget in shekels, not converted dollars, or the exchange rate will mislead you.
